You need to bring a valid ID, full skin-covered comfortable clothing. If you have your own helmet or protective gear please bring that too.

Legally, you must wear a certified helmet while riding a motorcycle. Other protective gear like gloves, jackets, and boots are recommended but not always required by law, varying by location.

You typically do not need your own protective gear for the learners course, as basic equipment is usually provided. However, it's recommended to bring your own if you have it.

On a learner licence, you can typically ride a Learner Approved Motorcycle (LAM) up to 660cc, providing it doesn't have a power to rate ratio of no greater than 150kW per tonne.

Other necessary personal items like medication, food and water.

No, you do not need your own motorcycle for the learners course as they are usually provided by the training centre, allowing you to focus on learning without worrying about bringing your own.

You can sit your full licence test once you have completed the required minimum period on your restricted licence which is 2 years without any violations, usually after gaining sufficient riding experience and meeting Queensland's specific criteria.
